Dave Reeves is a qualified landscape gardener with experience in transforming residential gardens and designing outdoor areas for schools. He lives in Hazlemere in Buckinghamshire and currently works within a 40 miles radius of his home.
Dave studied many different aspects of landscape design and construction at Sparsholt College in Hampshire from 1999-2002, gaining a BTEC National Diploma in Horticulture. As part of this course, Dave was involved in the design and construction of a garden for the Chelsea Flower Show and also spent a year working as a gardener on a private estate in Dorset.
During his three years of training, Dave developed a particular interest in water features and the work he has undertaken since has enabled him to put all the skills he learnt into practise.
Following this, Dave did a degree in Drama and Media before going on to become a Primary School Teacher and later Assistant Headteacher. In the third year of his teaching career, Dave was funded by the county council to visit schools around Buckinghamshire and advise them on the effective development of their grounds. This enabled him to combine his passion for the outdoors with his knowledge of what children need and led to him designing everything from Sensory Gardens and Wildlife Areas to Amphitheatres and Outdoor Classrooms.
He then decided on a return to landscaping and set up Dave Reeves Landscaping.
